How Treasures Works
Platform Architecture
Treasures is built as a distribution and interface layer for tokenized real-world assets. We sit above DEX aggregators and routing providers, using that infrastructure to facilitate user access to tokenized stock liquidity.
You interact with Treasures through the web interface or API. Treasures then routes your transaction requests to relevant third-party decentralized applications and protocols, which handle execution and settlement.
Treasures provides the wallet, interface, routing and access layer — it does not execute or settle trades directly, does not issue the underlying assets and does not take custody of user funds at any point.
Your Wallet, Your Assets
The Treasures wallet is your gateway to the Treasures platform. It is designed to support a non-custodial experience, meaning users remain responsible for their wallets, wallet credentials and digital assets. Treasures does not take custody, possession or control of your digital assets.
When you initiate a transaction request through the web interface or API, the wallet authorizes that request, which Treasures then routes onward to the relevant third-party decentralized applications for execution and settlement.
For API integrations, the wallet is also the authorization boundary. Any programmatic action operates within the permissions, parameters and controls explicitly granted by the wallet owner or relevant API user.
User and AI Agent Transaction Flow
Human users interact with Treasures through the web interface at https://treasures.io. The experience is designed to be intuitive — connect your wallet, browse supported assets, and execute trades in a few clicks.
API users (including developers, technical users, B2B partners, custom applications, automated trading systems and AI agents) interact with Treasures through the API, as documented in the API Reference section. Integrations can query assets, obtain quotes, submit transaction requests and monitor transaction status programmatically. Any transaction that affects user assets should remain subject to the required wallet control, user authorisation and access restrictions configured for that integration.
Liquidity and Routing
You do not need to worry about selecting liquidity sources or execution venues. Treasures' routing layer evaluates available paths across DEX aggregators and routing providers and directs your request via the optimal route automatically.
Treasures does not own, operate, or control these third-party protocols. They are independent decentralized infrastructure providers, and their availability and performance are outside our control.
Intuitive Units of Measurement
It is worth noting an important distinction for users familiar with traditional equity markets. In conventional stock trading, you buy and sell in units of shares, and one share represents one unit of ownership in the underlying company.
Tokenized stocks work differently. A tokenized stock may not always correspond to the underlying shares on a 1:1 basis due to dividends and corporate events impacting number of shares held in custody.
Treasures abstracts this complexity for you. Instead of requiring users to manually calculate token conversions, Treasures presents asset quantities, quotes and transaction amounts in units of underlying shares through the web interface and API responses. This helps users and agents understand what they are buying or selling without needing to manage the underlying token unit mechanics themselves.
